George H.W. Bush has died late on Friday night aged 94, according to family spokesperson Jim McGrath.
The former President of the U.S. whose presidency soared with the military coalition that ended the war in Kuwait but failed with his no-new-taxes promise that turned him out of office after a single term, the son of a senator and father of a president, the man with the golden resume who rose through the different political ranks: congressman, UN ambassador, Republican chairperson, CIA director, and two-term vice president under Ronald Reagan presidency.
He lived to see his son, George W., twice elected as president, becoming the second father-and-son chief executives in the U.S. history.
