The Pennsylvania man who was shot in the head last April by his wife after an argument over oatmeal has died this week.
John Maki, 29, was shot in the head by Rachel Eutsey, 36, when he complained about the traditional oatmeal she bought. According to police, Maki and Eutsey had taken their 8-month-old daughter with them earlier to buy crack cocaine. The smoked some of it in a parking lot, returned home and fall asleep. The next morning, they argued over the oatmeal when he choked her. Eutsey then grabbed a gun and trying to scare him struck his head .
Eutsey, has previously been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and child endangerment. Their daughter had been taken to Children, Youth and Family Services by a family member.
