A Kentucky suspect accused of abducting and killing a 7-year-old girl who has vanished as she attended a football game in 2015 has entered a guilty plea to the charges pending against him.
The grisly murder took place in Scottsville and has shocked the residents at the time.
On Saturday, Timothy Madden admitted kidnapping and killing Gabbi Doolin to be spared the death penalty sentence. Subsequently, he would spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Gabbi went missing after she had gone to a high school football field with her family in order to encourage her brother, 11, who was playing in a youth football team. Police discovered her body in a creek behind the field. Autopsy results showed that she died after being strangled and drowned.
