The body of a chef at Cipriani Dolci in Grand Central Station, New York City, for nearly a decade, was found dead Wednesday in a hotel in Queens, after four days of disappearance, police said.

Andrea Zamperoni, did not come to work on Monday, which worried his colleagues and alerted the police, the police said.

Zamperoni, an Italian national who had a work visa in the United States, was last seen leaving the restaurant around 9 pm. the Saturday.

Deputy Chief Manuel Ignacio Albo told WNBC-TV that the roommate of Zamperoni had said that the chief had gone home to his Flushing apartment in Queens, then got out and got into a car.

The police found her body at Kamway Lodge in Queens without giving more details about the cause of death.
