Colts Neck mansion fire slaying :it was the brother's doing after all .

5years ago

Keith Kaneshiro, his wife Jennifer, and children Jesse and Sophia were all killed in a fatal fire incident inside their mansion in Colts Neck; the case finally reached a semi-closure with the arrest of the suspect, who is the same older brother who has torched his own home the same day of the tragedy.

51-years-old Paul Caneiro was accused of setting fire to his Ocean Township home last week, now he is adding several other charges for murdering his brother's family the same day and setting their Colts Neck mansion on fire to cover up evidence of the killings.

Paul and Keith Caneiro were business partners, in a computer systems company called Square One and a pest control business, both housed above a trendy cafe in Asbury Park. Workers in the area frequently saw Paul Caneiro there.

Carneiro has been in custody since Nov. 21, on suspicion of setting fire to his own home the day before, now new charges have been added to the list including four counts of murder as well as arson and two weapons violations.

it was revealed Carneiro used a handgun and knife to perform his crimes.

The law firm representing Caneiro said they would not comment until after the prosecutor's news conference.

funeral services for the family are planned Sunday.
