A grizzly bear attacked and killed a mother and her daugther in Canada.

The mother Valérie Théorêt, 37, and her daughter Adele Roesholt were living in a remote cabin in the Yukon area where the father Gjermund Roesholt worked as a bear trapper.

Monday, Mr Roesholt was working when a grizzly bear charged at him 100 metres from the remote cabin where the family was staying. He was forced to shoot the bear dead. Upon his return to the cabin, he found the victims' bodies lying outside.

The family brought their remote cabin three years ago, the wife and her daughter are believed to have gone for a walk when they were attacked. Many friends of the family gathered to mourn the victims as the investigation is still ongoing.
