A 32-year-old Alabama man has fatally shot a child who woke him up while he was sleeping in his bed late Friday night, police said.
Shortly after midnight, 7-year-old Omarion Greenhouse was shot to death at the living room by Willie Sankey who was sleeping there after he startled him.
At around 12:45 a.m., officers arrived at the trailer park home and arrested Sankey without incident. He was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility and is facing capital murder charges.
Omarion was found unconscious at the scene. He was rushed to the hospital where he lost his life, court documents revealed.
No further information has been provided. Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the killing.
