New York City news, New York news.

According to court documents, the man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend by stuffing her body in a suitcase and leaving her to suffocate and die on the roadside will enter a plea deal.

Javier Da Silva, 24, was charged with murder in connection to the death of 24-year-old Valerie Reyes of New Rochelle whose body was discovered on Feb. 5.

Prosecutors have asked for more time as the preliminary discussions continue to reach a deal for Da Silva who is an immigrant from Venezuela overstaying his visa. He was arrested as he attempted to use the victim's ATM card to withdraw $1,000.

"I put her in the suitcase and ran," he told news outlets in an interview. "I'm a bad person."
