Seven people shot when Snapchat party turns violent

At least seven people have been shot following a violent fight that occurred during a party that first started via Snapchat.

The shooting unfolded on Saturday at around 1:45 a.m. amid a party that gathered between 30 and 50 people including teens and adults: "It was just a random group of people receiving an invite on the app," according to the Houston Police Department.

Three people were shot at the home in the 1200 block of Mylla Street when several people got into an argument. The events continued as two groups o the party-goers left the house. The occupants of a van opened fire at a car as they drove the East Freeway. Three other people were injured.

A seventh person was shot in the hand and was rushed to the hospital. All the victims are expected to recover.
