One man was killed and another injured during a double shooting that occurred inside of the Red Roof Hotel overnight.
The events unfolded at the Red Roof Inn on the 1100 block of College Avenue at around 1 a.m. Police received several calls reporting two shootings. According to authorities, there was a lot of chaos when they responded to the calls.
A man suffering serious gunshot wounds was found by officers inside a second-floor room. He died at the scene shortly afterward. Authorities were also notified of a second victim that arrived at Christiana Hospital with gunshot wounds.
No other victims were believed to have been hurt during the incident. It is not clear if a suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
