New Hampshire woman drives 10 miles the wrong side of highway

A New Hampshire woman is facing DUI charges after she was reported driving the wrong way on the highway, according to state authorities.

Several calls reported a car driving northbound in the southbound lane of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford on Wednesday morning at around 3:45 a.m.

Police arrested Rachel Barris on charges of driving under intoxication and reckless conduct. According to witnesses, the suspect drove at least 10 miles the wrong side of the highway and went across the Bedford toll plaza while on the wrong direction before she was stopped.

Barris was released on her recognizance after posting bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for September 9.
