Henning news, Tennessee news.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations announced the arrest of inmate Curtis Watson who escaped from jail on Wednesday.

Watson was sighted early on Sunday morning in Henning after he spent the last few days hiding from authorities as he escaped the West Tennessee State Penitentiary. He had reportedly changed his clothing and wore camouflage bib overalls.

"It scares you. I mean, you don't know where he's gonna turn up or what else he's gonna do," said Debbie White, a resident of the prison area. "If he did what he did to get out, then to me he's a desperate man on the run."

Investigators believe that Watson is involved in the murder of a 64-year-old corrections officer who was found dead in her home hours after Watson's escape.
