A newborn was discovered, wrapped in a T-shirt and lying on the doorstep of an apartment in Orlando, Florida - the second time a baby was left there in the last two years.
The one-day-old baby was found Saturday morning at Willow Key Apartments when a resident of the building heard tears in his eyes and called 911, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The man did not know where the baby was coming from and the newborn was taken to a local hospital where he would be healthy.
A similar incident occurred in 2017, when a little girl was left in the same compound, accompanied by a note asking anyone to find her to take her to a fire hall under Florida law. called Safe Haven, according to the Sentinel.
Under Safe Haven state law, a baby under one week old can be taken to a hospital or fire station without being charged with a guardian.
The child's mother was not located on Sunday and police alerted the Florida Department of Children and Families.
