A 37-year-old man from Oklahoma was convicted of rape after authorities reported sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl in a bathroom at a McDonald's play area.
Midwest City police said a daycare worker knocked on the locked bathroom door on Tuesday after the girl did not return quickly. A police affidavit indicates that a man finally came out and said, "I was just washing my hands."
The child told the workers that the man, identified as Joshua Kabatra, had sexually assaulted her.
Kabatra remains imprisoned in Oklahoma City, and the court records do not indicate any lawyer who can speak on his behalf.
