5years ago

Hampton news, Virginia news.

Police in Hampton, Virginia has confirmed the remains found earlier this month at a steam point as those of a missing toddler.

The DNA analysis confirmed that the body that was found at a NASA steam plant belonged to 2-year-old Noah Tomlin who was reported missing after vanishing from home. His mother had told authorities that she last saw him when she put him to sleep in his bed. She was arrested and charged with three counts of felony child neglect four days after reporting the child missing.

The search for Noah had lasted several days and included 1,000 tons of garbage through a landfill during at least 10,000 hours of work.

Police didn't disclose a motive for the crime as the investigation is ongoing.
