New updates expected in the California mass shooting timeline

5years ago

In the first news conference since the week of the mass shooting, investigators are expected to release on Tuesday a further detailed timeline of the tragic event that killed 12 people.

Since Nov.7, investigators have been interviewing hundreds of witnesses and gathering evidence from the scene but also from the suspect's home, including electronic devices. They used the evidence taken from the bar to explain how he carried out the shooting, and that from his home to understand his motivations. The investigators continued their work in spite of the wildfire that started hours after the attack forcing them to evacuate.

Ian David Long,28 , opened fire at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, killing 12 people including Sgt. Ron Helus and himself.
