Johnson County news, Texas news.

A Texas missing man has apparently been killed and eaten by at least 12 from his own dogs, according to authorities.

The family of 57-year-old Freddie Mack called 911 to report him missing, and request a welfare check on him after he has vanished since April.

Responding officers couldn't at first reach the man's trailer home and were confronted by 18 aggressive dogs. Further search into the house revealed bone fragments and dogs' feces that contained fabric and bones that matched the owner's clothing and DNA, according to the medical examiner's report.

"During the course of our investigation it was found that Freddie suffered from serious medical conditions so we will never know if the dogs killed Mr. Mack or consumed him after he died from a medical condition," said Sheriff Adam King.
