Suspect charged in death of nail salon manager over $35 bill

The suspect accused of killing a Las Vegas nail salon manager while trying to flee away without paying a $35 bill has been charged with murder and robbery.

Krystal Whipple is facing several felony charges stemming from the Dec. 28, 2018 incident that took the life of Ngoc Nhu Nguyen, 51. The salon owner was run over by Whipple who said that she will get money from her car before she ran away dragging Nguyen for nearly 50 feet.

The 21-year-old has been the subject of a nationwide manhunt for days until she was arrested on Jan. 11 in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Ariz. She has a criminal history as she was previously sentenced to four months in jail for attempted possession of a stolen vehicle.
