A Wisconsin dad had confessed to killing his 5-year-old son after he ate the father's day cake, according to Milwaukee Police.
Travis Stackhouse, 29, told investigators he punched the boy in the stomach and hit him in the face. At first, he said that the boy fell down the stairwell but he later told the true story of the events after medical staff determined that the boy's injuries were not consistent with a fall and that he suffered blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
The incident occurred last Saturday at around 2 a.m. Responding officers found the boy lifeless suffering bruising to both eyes and a cut to the lip.
The father was charged with one count of first-degree reckless homicide. He is being held on a $25,000 bail.
