The authorities found the body of a woman and a child. They are looking for another child after the woman intentionally headed for a river in southwestern Michigan.
The Kalamazoo Public Security Ministry said two girls told officers Monday night that a family member drove a car into the Kalamazoo River. Deputy Chief Karianne Thomas told WWJ-AM that the girls were in the car, but were released before falling into the water.
The agents found the car submerged at Verburg Park. Captain Brad Misner told the Kalamazoo Gazette that the bodies of the woman and one child were found.
The authorities did not publish the names of the people involved.
