Officer discovers severed human torso in car amid traffic stop

A police officer had reportedly made a gruesome discovery when he found a severed human torso in a speeding car, according to news reports.

The driver, 29-year-old, Dorrie Debrice Johnson, was charged with vehicular homicide, driving with a revoked license and evading arrest.

The discovery was made when the officer asked Johnson to stop after he drove on the opposing lane. The suspect refused to compel with the officer's orders and sped off only to crash into a pole. The officer apprehended Johnson after a short foot chase and found the severed torso that is believed to belong to a hit-and-run victim. The rest of the body was found in a nearby crash scene.

Johnson was booked on Sunday according to the Knox County Sheriff's office.
