Casino patron gets decapitated for 6$

Billings news, Montana news.

One of the two suspect accused of decapitating a casino patron has admitted guilt on Monday.

34-year-old Jeffery Glen Haverty has pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal that he will serve 50 years in jail in connection to the death of Myron Wesley Knight, 41-year-old, who was found decapitated in 2017. The other suspect in the case, Donald Ray Cherry, 32-year-old, was charged with deliberate homicide in October of that same year.

Prosecutors allege that both men robbed Knight of $6 prior to his killing and decapitation. His body was found three weeks afterward.

Cherry's trial is slated to start in July. It is not clear if his attorney discussed a plea agreement in his case.
