A former NBA player, Anthony Grundy, pleaded not guilty to a fatal accident in Kentucky.

According to media reports, Grundy, 40, went on Friday and appeared in court on Saturday. He is accused of leaving the scene of an accident and failing to render relief.

A police report indicates that Grundy reportedly told the police that he hit something on the Dixie Expressway in Louisville on the night of June 7, but did not stop. A woman trying to cross the road died after being hit.

According to media reports, Grundy attended Kentucky High School and played basketball at North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2002.
