Around 10:37 a.m. Friday police responded to a call reporting that a family member of the caller had a gun inside the home.
The gunman reportedly shot at responding officiers who returned fire and possibly injured him.
The suspect barricaded himself inside the home as family members told police that no one else was inside. After hours-long sandoff, the situation unfolded by taken the suspect to hospital. It is still unclear if officers got inside or if the suspect gave up but more details are expected to be revealed by The San Jose Police on Monday.
The incident occured in the 2800 block of Barrow Ct where a child and two adults have been evacuated from the area where SWAT teams were also called.
