the pant-less man who terrorized Whataburger employees in southwest Houston died after officers arrested him.
the incident was reported around 7 p.m. at the restaurant located in the 9500 blocks of Bissonnet near the Southwest Freeway.
according to police a white man in his 40s entered the restaurant and started throwing garbage cans, tables, and chairs, while he jumped up on the counter at some point the thing that made employees call 911.
He allegedly threw a manager to the ground as he chased after her and other employees who tried escaping the restaurant.
police chased after the man who made his way underneath a nearby overpass
where they struggled to get him handcuffed.
in the process the unidentified man collapsed and stopped breathing, police said. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he died later.
police are still investigating the case while looking into the cause of his erratic behavior that led him to death.
