The wife of a detainee accused of leading a riot in Delaware's maximum security prison, where a guard was killed and other staff members held hostage, said she was confident in the acquittal of her husband.
Lillian Oliver says Roman Shankaras, 32, is not a murderer.
On Thursday, a jury acquitted Shankaras of all charges related to the riot of 2017 and the death of prison guard Steven Floyd.
Shankaras recently served a seven-year sentence for unrelated riot and robbery charges. He should be released by Friday.
Senior Prosecutor John Downs made no comment.
