A Mississipi mother of four was found dead by one of her children who were back home from a weekend spent at their uncle's home.
Dominique Clayton, 32, was pronounced dead on Sunday after sustaining a gunshot to the head. Police arrested a fellow officer in connection with the murder and are investigating the relationship between Matthew Kinne, 38, and the victim and the possible motive of the slaying.
"It broke us because my sister was the life of the party, she made us laugh," the victim's sister said. "My sister was crazy and silly. It won't be the same without her."
The Clayton family had concerns about the investigation. Police Chief Jeff McCutcheon reassured the family: "We want to assure you that we will not hide behind our badge."
