Orlando news, Florida news.

A former Disney World employee accused of stealing $ 7,000 in souvenirs was arrested after posting photos of missing objects online, authorities said.

Twenty-four-year-old Patrick Allen Spikes became suspicious when his Twitter profile included photos of valuables two months after they left the amusement park in Orlando, Florida, according to the arrest affidavit.

A search warrant for his home and phone revealed pictures of Disney wigs, skirts and jackets stolen.

He is also charged with using his Disney employee ID number to access the underground tunnels and travel to the Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion, where some of the costumes were stolen.

The financial records showed that, according to the affidavit, Spikes received approximately $ 30,000 via PayPal from two buyers, with the police claiming that the missing items were much more valuable on the black market.

The detectives say they are still investigating and trying to find the rest of the objects that have been documented as stolen.

Disney said the case was a "law enforcement case."
