According to the authorities, a tornado with winds of up to 130 mph (209 km / h) had struck in southern Oklahoma.

The National Meteorological Service announced that EF2 Twister Saturday traveled about half a kilometer to Geronimo, about 129 km southwest of Oklahoma City, damaging two homes. One person was injured.

In northwestern Arkansas, several people were stranded on recreational trails because of the trees felled.

Energy companies in both states report that tens of thousands of people are without electricity.
