A Florida mother had been charged with domestic battery after she allegedly hit the head of her son's father with a kitchen pot.
Katie Lou Gottlich, 25-year-old, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery following the Wednesday attack on her 7-month-old son's father whom she said didn't help her take care of the small boy and spent his time fishing.
Gottlich stroke the man's head with the cookware before fleeing the scene. When questioned by officers, she denied all the accusations.
According to charging documents, Gottlich was held on $250 bond. She was later released that same day.
Misdemeanor battery in Florida carries a sentence of up to one year in jail or 12 months probation and a $1000 fine.
