Ex-San Francisco 49ers player Jarryd Hayne is facing charges over sexual assault; an Australian woman claimed that the star bit her leaving wounds that required medical attention.
Hayne who is now an Australian rugby league player, turned himself in to police Monday evening.
the 26-years-old victim claimed that a befuddled Hayne arrived at her house in a taxi on Sept. 30, and ripped off her clothes and bit her in her genital area, her injuries were severe to the extent to be hospitalized.
the victim's mother was also in the house and saw the whole horrific incident, the family would hand down pictures of the alleged assault.
Hayne spent 10 hours in custody before being released early the next morning. Authorities said Hayne has yet to make a statement on record to police and has "declined to be interviewed."
Hayne was granted a strict conditional bail -- including a $20,000 surety payment before his Dec. 10 court appointment.
the star was previously accused of rape during his 2015 NFL season with the 49ers.
he came through the case because prosecutors could not find sufficient evidence.
