Kudlow anticipates the confrontation between the US and China at the G20

Top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow, told reporters that the confrontation between the US and China over trade "will come to a head at the G20."

The comments come after the collapse of talks that were expected in Washington next week as a high-level Chinese delegation has delayed then canceled the trip to US.

Trump has described the 142 concessions offered by China as "not acceptable" but he had also hopes of moving toward a deal before January,1.

Kudlow declined however to give any prediction on the future of the talks saying: "I don't want to conclude anything."

The Chinese President said earlier in a speech that "History has shown that confrontation, whether in the form of a cold war, or a hot war, or a trade war, will produce no winners."
