A 13-year-old Californian girl, seriously injured after a man intentionally driving to a group of pedestrians, is in a coma with major head trauma.
Isaiah Joel Peoples, a former US Army sniper, is due to be arraigned on Friday at the Santa Clara Superior Court.
The man is charged with eight counts of attempted murder.
Four people remain hospitalized, including 51-year-old Ping Lu, who has several fractures.
Marina Reimler, 32, is also hospitalized.
