Authorities announced Wednesday that they found the body of the Illinois child who was reported missing by his parents last week buried in a shallow grave not far from his family house.
JoAnn Cunningham and her husband Andrew Freund Sr. was formally charged of first degree murder and several other charges following the murder of their 5-year-old son Andrew "AJ" Freund whose little body was found in a remote area of Woodstock wrapped in a plastic sheet before being buried in a shallow grave, the Chief of the Crystal Lake Police Department Jim Black told reporters.
Officials removed important evidence from the couple's home including two brown bags and, a dirty shovel and the victim's small mattress.
