Highlands County news, Florida news.

Two teenager girls were apprehended over the week after they allegedly planned to kidnap and murder almost nine people.

Police said that the 14-year-old girls were booked into prison and face conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder charges. Their names have not been released in reason of their ages.

Their arrest happened after a teacher of them reported that she saw the teens in a "hysterical" misdemeanor as they suspiciously searched for a folder while in class. The teacher told officers that one of the girls said: "I'm just going to tell them it's a prank if they call me or if they find it."

The folder contained at least eight handwritten notes that detailed the killing and the kidnapping plans including the concealing of the bodies and their transportation.
