Minneapolis news, Minnesota news.

A 5-year-old boy thrown from a balcony on the third floor of the Mall of America shows "real signs of recovery," but remains in intensive care, the family said.

The boy's family released the update Friday on a GoFundMe page that raised nearly US $ 900,000 for Landen's medical expenses.

Prosecutors charged 24-year-old Emmanuel Aranda with attempted premeditated murder for the April 12 attack.

Landen was thrown from nearly 20 meters and suffered head trauma and multiple fractures. His family says he still has "a long way to go" to recover.
