Two navy seal and two Marines have been charged with felony murder, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, burglary, hazing, and involuntary manslaughter on Wednesday.

The four suspects are accused of killing Sgt. Logan Melgar who shared the housing with them, after repeated clashes over their unprofessionalism. One of them, a trained mixed-martial-arts fighter, placed the victim once in a chokehold and killed him, before trying to cover up their crime, saying Melgar was drunk, and giving false informations and timeline to investigators.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled in December, with a maximum sentence of life without parole.

Melgar family talked about him as being "loving husband, father, son, and brother, Logan was a man of integrity and honor. His morals stood larger than most".
