A Roman Catholic diocese in Pennsylvania will pay $ 2 million to a man who was sexually abused as a child by a priest.
The settlement with the diocese was announced Tuesday by the victim's lawyer, Mitchell Garabedian.
Defrocked priest David Poulson was sentenced this year from two-and-a-half years to fourteen years of imprisonment after pleading guilty to one boy's sexual assault and another's sexual assault attempt.
The investigation was conducted by a grand jury in Pennsylvania that detailed decades of abuse by 300 priests.
The diocese said he would not comment before the end of the day.
