Investigations are still ongoing in the death of a 3-month-old baby girl who was found dead inside a Sidney residence, authorities said.
According to Sidney Chief of Police Frank DiFonzo, officials discovered the body of the toddler as they responded to a Welfare check in the early morning on Saturday. Upon their arrival, they found her not breathing and totally unresponsive. She has reportedly sustained numerous serious injuries.
She was rushed to the Sidney Health Center with the hope of reviving her but she was not responding.
Although the victim's mother was not injured, she was transported to a medical facility.
Her brother, 20, who had a stab wound, was hidden inside a neighbor's home.
It is believed that drugs and alcohol were involved in the case.
