A mother was found dead along with her 18-month-old son at about the time of his handover to his father.
Laura B. Connell, 45-year-old, and Walton Connell were identified by the victim's sister who said that Connell refused to hand the boy to his father. "She was so afraid," she said. "I guess she just thought that she couldn't hand over Walton today. I guess she just felt this was the best way to protect him."
The sister also told police that she came to pick up Connell to the Family Court. When she arrived Connell texted her "one minute." When Connell didn't show up, her sister used a key to enter the Stonehurst Garden apartment and discovered the bodies.
