A Santa Rosa husband took his own life after he allegedly shot dead his wife who planned to divorce him.
According to witnesses, the shooting occurred around 8:27 a.m. in the parking lot of a Santa Rosa mall when 43-year-old Paula Zamora who was sitting at the driver's side of her car was looking through the window. Her 52-year-old husband approached her and opened fire before fleeing the crime scene driving his gold-colored SUV.
The wife sustained several bullets injuries. She was transferred to the hospital and died shortly afterwards.
The suspect who has committed suicide was found dead inside his car.
Reports said that the couple's relationship has been deteriorating as they lived in separated houses.
