44-years-old Andrea Aleman from Texas was arrested Thursday and charged for allegedly abandoning her grandchildren inside their burning house.

reports say that, on November, 2, Aleman and her 11-year-old daughter and two other unidentified residents escaped the burning house located in Waco.

Waco firefighters found the two children inside the house and were pronounced dead.

The children named as Anthony Cole Puente, aged 4, and Rachel Rose Aleman, aged 2.were hiding from the blazing fire inside a closet and the bathroom of the house.

the children's uncle expressed his great sorrow concerning the incident and how his niece and nephew faced death all scared and without knowing how to escape or survive.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton put the responsibility on the shoulder of the grandmother and labeled her actions as reckless and irresponsible and how she contributed into the death of two innocent souls.

the fire was set by one of the residents of the house police are still investigating whether it was intentional or an accident.

Aleman was charged with injury to a child and being held in a county jail on bonds totaling $30,000.
