According to San Jose police, a mother had killed her two children before committing suicide at the family's apartment on Wednesday.
At 12:30 p.m., officials received an emergency call reporting a suicide inside an apartment located in the 5300 block of Dent Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered the mother and her 4 and 7-year-old kids lying on the floor.
Police stated on Wednesday: "Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives are classifying this investigation as a murder-suicide," "There are no outstanding suspects," they added.
The victims' identities have not been revealed pending relatives' notification.
Investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances of the case.
