A Texas mother of a seven-year-old child was found deceased, wrapped in bedding and stuffed inside a closet at her abusive boyfriend’s apartment, police said.
Corinna Johnson’s bludgeoned body was discovered last Monday when a friend went to the Garland Police Station and reported the homicide at the West Wheatland Road apartment.
The woman said Johnson’s boyfriend, Omar Lucio, had requested her to pick him up and confessed to attacking Johnson after they were kicked out of a downtown Dallas bar.
“[The witness] stated the suspect told her that he had put his hands on [Johnson] and stated he had knocked some sense into her and that she became unresponsive,” Lucio’s arrest affidavit read.
The suspect admitted to having temper issues adding that he hoped Johnson would regain consciousness when he took her to his apartment.
Officers found blood trails in multiple rooms and blood-stained clothing in Lucio’s vehicle.
