The driver of a car that plummeted off the road in Malibu Wednesday was reportedly pronounced dead after being ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities responded to reports of a car that veered off the Malibu Canyon Road near the Pacific Coast Highway at about 5:30 p.m.

The silver SUV drove two miles off the road and fell 150 feet over a cliff ejecting the sole occupant, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters declared the driver dead at the scene. Their identity was not immediately disclosed.
The incident forced the closure of the Malibu Canyon Road between Civic Center and Piuma Road as the investigation continued.
