Seattle news, Washington news.

An active duty sailor was arrested Monday over a random shooting spree that left one person dead outside a Seattle nightclub.

23-year-old Victor Marshall was nabbed at Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington, and charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault.

Marshall is accused of opening fire at a group of people outside the OHM club just before 2 a.m. on February 25.

A man and a woman were arguing and another couple intervened trying to calm down the situation when Marshall, a complete stranger to the four individuals, opened fire.

“The two surviving victims were engaged in an argument among themselves when they were shot by the defendant,” Prosecutor Raymond Lee said.

“There does not appear to be a clear explanation why the defendant felt the need to shoot three separate strangers in a public place.”
