Kent County authorities announced that a woman and three children were found shot and killed Monday in a west Michigan home.

The three children were all elementary school aged kids and Kent County Sheriff's Office couldn't give further details about the victims or the relationship between them.

Officials said that there is no evidence that the shooter could be at large and rather they are considering the murder-suicide possibility. News outlets reported that a second crime scene exists according to the preliminary results of the house's investigation.

"It's always hard when there's a death in the community, but it's absolutely the most difficult when kids are involved," Kent County Sheriff Michelle Lajoye-Young said.
