Washington news, Washington news.

The president plans to appoint Goldman Sachs' Dina Powell, ambassadors Kelly Craft and Richard Grenell and former Republican Senate candidate John James as the next United States ambassador to the United Nations.

According to Bloomberg, the White House's top aides spoke of the candidacy of Ivanka Trump, currently the president's senior advisor.

Ivanka had sought to defeat previous reports that she was considered the next US ambassador to the United Nations.

A few days later, however, her father tweeted about what a good ambassador she would be.

"So nice, everyone wants Ivanka Trump to be the new ambassador of the United Nations. It would be incredible, "said President Trump on Twitter.
