A man, stuck in his truck with his wife filming a video of the I-70 incident near Oak Grove shows dozens of cars and trucks unable to slow down on an icy road, clashing again and again with great speed. A road patrol said visibility at the time of the wreck on Friday was a whiteout, according to KSHB.
When the situation was safe, the man who filmed the drama scene would have, with others, got out of their car to help the other trapped drivers.
One person died during the incident.
The name of the person who died during the incident was not disclosed.
The winter storm, which brought a few inches back to Oak Grove on Tuesday, caused a pile of 20 cars near Odessa, Missouri, as well as many wrecks in the state. Police spent most of the day Tuesday trying to clear traffic on I-70, which is now open again.
There will be more snow falling this weekend.
