Paso Robles suspect arrested for alleged killing of man denying her from DUI

The Paso Robles woman who killed a man while he attempted to prevent her from driving under alcohol influence was formally charged with causing a death and fleeing the scene of the crash.

According to court releases, 21-year-old Sarah Hale faces multiples charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and fleeing the scene of an accident.

The incident happened on Dec. 28 at Santa Maria Brewing Co. in Paso Robles where the car of the suspect threw Jose Armando Montes Guillen to the ground causing him deadly wounds.

Reports said that the 21-year-old victim was one of many people outside the brewery who made a failed attempt to deny Hale from driving while drunk.
